Meet Bella – Our Inna Spirit Member of the Month for February 💛
Bella has been part of the Inna Essence community since the very beginning, and we’re so excited to celebrate her as our Inna Spirit Member of the Month for February.
Originally from Taiwan, Bella works in childcare and balances a busy life caring for others — both at work and at home. Before moving into childcare, she worked in retail and part-time as a barista, always on her feet and constantly on the go. Like many of our members, Bella came to Pilates not because she was “into fitness,” but because her body genuinely needed support.
Why Bella Started Pilates
After being involved in a car accident, Bella experienced ongoing headaches, neck and shoulder pain, and whiplash-related discomfort. She also noticed increased stress and anxiety when driving, which began to affect her day-to-day life. On the recommendation of her physiotherapist — and having never tried Pilates before — Bella decided to give it a go.
The Changes She’s Noticed
Since starting Pilates, Bella has noticed gradual but meaningful changes in her body and energy levels.
“The pain slowly released,” she shared. “My muscles feel stronger, and I have more energy.”
Working in childcare means lifting, carrying, and moving constantly throughout the day, and Bella has felt a real difference in her strength and posture. She’s more comfortable carrying heavier items, maintains better posture, and has experienced relief from lower back pain — all things that make a big difference in a physically demanding role.
What Bella Loves About Inna Essence
For Bella, Inna Essence is about more than just exercise.
She loves the calm, welcoming environment and speaks highly of the instructors, describing them as kind, supportive, and clear in their communication. Feeling comfortable, understood, and supported has been a big part of why Bella has stayed consistent with her practice.
Favourite Classes
Bella’s go-to class is Reformer Pilates, which fits perfectly around her childcare work schedule. When time allows, she also enjoys Yoga, especially for the relaxation it offers.
“I need to keep my hands and feet strong,” she says, “and I feel more relaxed. I have my own space away from my work and family commitments when I come for class at Inna Essence.”
As a mum of two girls with a busy household to manage, having time that’s just for her has been incredibly valuable — a chance to reset, breathe, and reconnect with herself.
Why She Stays
Friendship and connection have played a big role in Bella’s journey. Building relationships with Andrea and Anna, along with a timetable that works around part-time work and family life, has helped Pilates become a sustainable part of her routine.
Thinking About Starting?
Bella’s advice is simple and heartfelt:
“Just try it, and talk to Andrea and Anna. They’re very friendly — they can help.”
We’re so grateful to have Bella as part of our Inna Essence community. Her story is a beautiful reminder that Pilates isn’t about being perfect or experienced — it’s about showing up, feeling supported, and allowing change to happen over time.
