6 Week Pilates Beginners Course

This course at Inna Essence is the very thing to begin your journey with Pilates in a safe, nurturing space.
You will be introduced to the benefits & practices of Pilates and a little history over the course of 6 weeks. This course is for you if you’re an absolute beginner or anyone who wants to revisit the foundations and strengthen their personal practice.
The course will start with the right education & knowledge to empower you to be in control of your own movements as you progress over the 6 weeks. Each week you will then be introduced to and guided through exercises, learning correct alignment, breathing & relevant modifications. You will put together what you have learned in a mini masterclass at the end of each session.
Brief overview of the history & origins of Pilates
Intro to Pilates breathing & alignment
The importance of the mind/body connection
Difference between Pilates & Yoga and how they
compliment each other
Understanding the block system
Week 2 – Intro to exercises – Warm up / Abdominals
Week 3 – Leg / Hip work
Week 4 – Stretches / Lateral Rotation
Week 5 – Arm work
Week 6 – Spinal articulation and recap of what you have learned
