Meet Chris – our Inna Spirit member of the month for October.

Chris first heard about Inna Essence from his wife; she commented on the friendly vibe, and how we took the time to call and check in on her when she was really busy with work.  Interested in Yoga and keen to experience this for himself, Chris joined Inna Essence and has actively attended many different styles of Yoga with us.

When and why did you join Inna Essence?

I joined the studio after being recommended to by my wife Niki.  She was a member when Inna Essence was located at the back of the Footy Club; she said we were welcoming and she always felt valued.  Niki would comment about how kind and caring the entire team were, so I wanted to give classes a go.

What do you love most about the studio?

It’s a bright, comfortable space, filled with happy faces and a great variety of teachers.

What are you passionate about and how do you look after your wellbeing and selfcare?

Inna Essence is my hobby; I find Yoga challenging but not overly demanding.  You don’t get totally exhausted by doing a class, and at the studio, there are so many different teachers.  I can attend a class which is going to give me a physical challenge, or I can choose a class which will relax and restore my body.

What is your favourite class at Inna Essence and why?

All the Yoga classes are different; however a real highlight is Marjorie’s Rise and Shine Yoga on Monday morning.  Marjorie’s class has a great flow and is challenging.  I also really enjoy the physical challenge of Liam’s classes, as well as the gentler flow of Marilyn sessions.

Words of advice for someone wanting to try Pilates?

Give it a shot, it could be different to what you are expecting.  You’ll get as much out of a class as you choose to put in.
