As the winter months start to roll around, I think we have all noticed that the mornings are starting to get a bit chillier. Which makes it just that little bit harder to get out of bed in the morning to get to your favourite class first thing. So we’ve compiled a list of tips and tricks to make it that little bit easier for you to join us in the studio!

Write down why you want to come along to class – Whether it is to get some movement into your life or to carve out some ‘me’ time for yourself, knowing why you are coming along to an early morning class can help keep you motivated.

Pick a class that you love – Attending a class that you really enjoy gives you something to look forward to.

Book a Livestream Class – This way you can still get moving without having to leave the comfort (or warmth) of your home. We offer Livestream Mat Pilates on Mondays at 6:10am or Saturdays at 7:10am, Rise and Shine Yoga on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6am and Pilates Mat/Barre Combo on Wednesdays at 5:35am.

Pack your bag the night before – Having your grippy socks, reformer cover, yoga mat, water bottle, whatever you need for your class, packed and ready to go will make it quick and easy to get out the door.

Wear your workout clothes to bed – Yes, that’s right! When our very own Anna has a 5:30am class, she wears her tights to bed. Not only are they super comfy, you don’t have to take off your warm pyjamas to get dressed into your cold work out gear first thing.

Go to bed early – That way you will have had enough nourishing sleep so you’ll be ready to go when your alarm goes off.

Keep your alarm at a distance – Doing this means that you have to get out of bed to turn off your alarm so you can resist the temptation of hitting the snooze button.

Once the alarm has gone off, get straight out of bed – Turn on the lights, have a drink of water, stretch in a child’s pose, do some gentle cat cows, whatever it takes to wake you up.

Give yourself an incentive after your workout – Whether it be a coffee on the way home or a magazine to enjoy later, treat yourself for doing something great for your body.

Bring a friend along to keep each other accountable – Get a friend involved! Inna Essence has a Two-Week Trial Pack for just $35. If you have a friend who has been looking to get themselves moving or to indulge in some self-care, bring them along to the studio for a two week trial.
